The 80th National Session of the Mayors’ Institute on City Design (MICD) took place March 19-21, 2025 in Long Beach, CA, hosted by Mayor Rex Richardson.
MICD and the Just City Lab at the Harvard Graduate School of Design are pleased to announce the launch of the 2025 MICD Just City Mayoral Fellowship, taking place in a hybrid virtual and in-person format in Spring 2025.

The University of Florida School of Architecture hosted a Special Session of the Mayors’ Institute on City Design in Gainesville, FL from October 23-25, 2024. With host Mayor Harvey Ward, the event convened seven mayors and seven design leaders in a collaborative workshop to discuss the most pressing design and development issues in each of their cities.
MICD is glad to announce an opportunity for universities and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations to serve as partners to host and organize 2025-2026 Special Sessions of the Mayors’ Institute on City Design.
